Be Still Sunday 23

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalms 46:10

Good morning. How do you start your day? Maybe with a cup of coffee or a cup of tea? My choice is tea while hubby has to have his coffee. I find that mornings are a perfect time to be still. Our mornings are quiet here. We are early risers. Very early. It gives me time to sit, drink my tea, and just connect. And I am thankful for that.

My heart and home are feeling blessed…

~ with having a great beginning with my sourdough starter. Yesterday, I was on day 3 and had to pour off some. The starter was already bubbly so I used that pour off for pancakes for breakfast. Yum!

~ with the discovery that my daffodils have broken ground. I happened to be out in the very cold to feed the poor, little birds when I saw some new greenery. I squealed when I realized that my daffodils have decided to make a grand appearance. I think they know how I feelĀ  about this cold and wanted to cheer me up.

~ with having the best and most caring veterinarian of all. With having 2 ill dogs, other veterinarians said they couldn’t do anything more for my boys. They were basically given a death sentence. In fact, Dale was given 2 weeks to live. That was in the spring of 2017. Dr. Brown has gone up and above to meet their needs. And my boys are happy which makes me happy.

My thoughts and prayers…

~ are with those affected with the recent school shootings. Our sweet children should not have to deal with such violence. None of us should.
