Be Still Sunday 19

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalm 46:10

My heart and home are feeling blessed…

~ when I saw four swans on our lake this week. We’ve only had swans on our lake twice in the past 25 years. I believe it has something to do with the extremely frigid temperatures and their flight pattern. They may have to make extra stops before moving on due to weather conditions.

~ because we are expecting warmer weather this coming week. Getting up into the 30’s is something to look forward to and celebrate, don’t you think?

~ as we are making some progress with our plank ceiling in the living room. Lots going on here and taking baby steps all along the way. I need to tell you more soon. Very soon.

My thoughts and prayers…

~ are with those affected by the cold, the flooding, and the snow and ice. This winter is hitting us hard. Stay warm and please be safe.

Warm blessings,

  1. This psalm is my favorite by far. I have a little sign in our bedroom with it on it. This year has started out so badly for us! My Mother in Law has taken a down turn with her dementia, I got the flu after sitting with her for hours in the emergency room, my temperature is 104.0, now my husband has it, and he is missing work as I am so our income will be effected. We are trying to get guardianship to care for her and the Dr. Is dragging out the obvious, so hopefully it will improve. I am trying not to worry, and leave it with God, but I am finding hurt and pain in everything we try to do. I know we have many blessings, trying to concentrate on those. Thank you for your lovely words and pictures.

  2. How exciting to see so many swans. While others are freezing and buried in snow, we have none and our ski resorts are suffering. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could take a little off your hands? Hunker down and stay warm!
