Be Still Sunday 18

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalm 46:10

The lake starting to freeze during a past winter.

Are you all staying warm in these freezing temps that are hitting our country this last of December? I’m hoping it will pass, but you never know what winter weather will bring. Well, I know it will eventually bring spring. And that is worth looking forward to.

My heart and home are feeling blessed…

~ as the lake whispers to me. The lake with these frigid temperatures is starting to freeze. When it does so, it starts to make sounds. It almost sounds as if a bird is constantly chirping in the distance. Even my dog, Chip, took notice, cocked his head, and listened. It’s amazing what nature is capable of.

~ for my Quest study bible. I purchased one right before Christmas as a present for myself. I want to understand more and have my questions answered as I read the bible. I wish to come to a better understanding of the history, of the people, and its meaning and how it applies to us now.

~ when we walked out of Christmas Eve service and it was snowing. Huge snowflakes were dancing all around us. It was beautiful. When we woke on Christmas morning, there was a light dusting on the ground. Just enough to be pretty. And to tell you the truth, that’s all this person needs. I enjoy seeing snow at Christmas.

Warm blessings,

Cindy

  1. The frozen pond is beautiful and would love to hear those sounds coming from it! Kind of like when you can actually hear the snow flakes hitting the ground. Yes, it’s cold but there is something to said about the beauty of winter! Happy New Year, Cindy! ♥
