Be Still Sunday 13

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalm 46:10

A ‘Be Still’ moment with Chip.

I am feeling my heart and home blessed…

~ Hubby and I volunteered on Thanksgiving Day. It was just the two of us for the day and we decided it would be the perfect time to help others. Our community provides a meal on Thanksgiving Day for those in need. We signed up to do dishes as that was a job nobody wanted (smile).  No problem. I do my own dishes at home as I prefer no dishwasher. We enjoyed helping in the morning and had the rest of the day to celebrate our own little Thanksgiving at home.

~ We went pickin’ at a new spot on Friday after Thanksgiving. We don’t do Black Friday or mad shopping for the holidays. That’s just not us. We keep everything simple. Anyway, we have not gone pickin’ in a very long time. Very long. It felt good to browse through old and worn treasures. And we found some items that came home with us. More on that later.

~ Three words. Pumpkin cheesecake mousse. Yum! Hubby and I are considering trying a Keto lifestyle which is eating (very) low carb, high fat, and no sugar. Not much of a stretch for me, but a huge one for hubby. So I’ve been playing around with recipes before we make the jump. The mousse recipe is a keeper and we did not miss our traditional pumpkin pie at all.

Blessings to you and yours,

Cindy

  1. So glad you were able to help feed others for Thanksgiving. Sounds just like you–special. The new diet is basically what I’ve learned works with my health problems. Adding more good fat takes the place of sweets for me. Keep us informed! Hugs!
