Be Still Sunday 10

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalm 46:10

Good Sunday morning! It’s November! Can you believe it? With the holiday season coming upon us, it is the perfect time to slow down. I know that is not what most of us think about. We think about how much we have to do and how are we going to get it all done. I see so many actually becoming miserable during the holiday season because of the stress they put upon themselves. Don’t do it. Don’t buy into having to have the perfect holiday. Let’s put God first in everything we do. Only then we can truly enjoy the holidays.

I am feeling my heart and home blessed…

~after throwing stones into the creek with my 2 year old granddaughter. Over and over again. Such a simple pleasure that we both enjoyed. And Papaw joined us, too. Nothing like being a kid again.

~while sitting on the swing that overlooks the lake. It is so peaceful and if I could get away with it, I’d sit there for hours. It is such a beautiful time of the year to take it all in. I’m counting my blessings.

~with some mild and even warm days this November. Today, it will be in the 80’s which is highly unusual and may even set a record, but I’ll take it.

Be blessed this beautiful November day,

  1. How’do Cindy!
I often stop by without commenting, sorry, so today is the day to speak up.
My name is Minnie. I live in N. California. I’m married for 33 years. We have 3 sons, 1 daughter, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 2 puppy dogs and 1 grandpuppy. I’m a Christian, housewife, and diy’er.
I know the craziness that robs us of peace and joy especially at holiday time. I let it go a few years ago and NOW we do enjoy Christmas. Big party, lots of games and food and fun but no gifts. Tis Not the season to go broke!
Also my granddaughter is 2 and I love the way she finds something fun to do, over and over and over…
Looking forward to getting to know you.
    Blessings to you!
