Be Still Sunday 9

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalm 46:10

My hope for each and everyone of us is to begin each day alone with Him. Prepare for our day. Set our mood and our attitude. Face our new day with gratitude and love within our heart. Allow ourselves to be an inspiration to others by determining how to bless them, even if it is as simple as a smile.

I am feeling my heart and home blessed…

~hearing the sound of ‘ping’, ‘ping’, ‘ping’. If you’re a canner, you know what I’m talking about. I pickled some banana peppers this past week. The ‘ping’ is the sound of success…the jars have sealed. I smile every time I hear that sound. These peppers were the last of the garden. As any gardener, I’m already looking forward to next spring.

~belonging to a book club. A Christian book club. We are an interesting group and no subject is barred. Lots of laughter and deep discussions which leads to trust and friendship. I love to read. I prefer it to all the technology out there. Guess I’m old fashioned. Thank goodness!

~because the holidays are just around the corner. I love the holiday season. I believe in keeping everything simple. It’s all about enjoying time with family and friends. And celebrating our faith.

Be blessed,

  1. Oh, me too! I love that sound the jar lid makes when it seals. I’ve canned a few jars of banana peppers too. You write a good post!

  2. I do love that sound, too. I haven’t canned a thing this year. So busy the summer got by too fast. BUT, I plan to make pumpkin butter and jams and a few other goodies this winter when I can’t get out. My freezer is full of possibilities. Thanks, too, for the opening inspiration! My day will go better now. . .Blessings!
