Be Still Sunday 6

‘Be still and know that I am God.’ ~ Psalm 46:10

Today, I am feeling my heart and home blessed…

~when I hear my dad sing the gospel. The thing is, he can’t carry a tune. At all. And I can’t either. But it does my heart good to hear him sing at the top of his lungs. He’s my inspiration. Do what you do to the best of your ability and forget about what others think.

~when my dogs wag their tails. They are both in very bad health and can still manage to be happy in life. They don’t ask for much. Just some love. Deep down, that’s all we really want or need. They have taught me a lot.

~because hubby and I took some time to enjoy apple cider and doughnuts in front of a fire in the fire pit. Doing so is a tradition. It is our official way of kicking off the fall season. I love being in the great outdoors. It helps restore my soul and keeps me grounded.

My thoughts and prayers…

~are with those who were affected by the tragedy in Los Vegas. My heart is truly heavy because of this. I have no answers when such evil appears. All I know how to do is turn to God and pray. ‘Lord, please give us strength. Put your arms around those who are hurting and give them the comfort they need. Keep our hearts open to you while giving us hope and peace in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.’

Sunday Blessings,

  1. Cindy, it’s these little things that make me smile! I too can’t carry a tune, but that doesn’t stop me from singing. I feel it in my heart and hear it in my head, but it doesn’t come out like I hear and feel. lol! The Las Vegas tragedy is terrible and now all of the devastating fires in CA. My heart goes out to all of them!
