A 1907 Farmhouse

Okay, I’m at it again. I like this farmhouse that I found online and is for sale. Just had to share. I mentioned before why I’m looking at farmhouses. You can find that post here. And way back I did a post about my online hobby of house hunting. That post is located here. It’s all in fun, y’all.

So…what do you think of this farmhouse? Love, love, love the red tin roof. And the angles. It shouts “I’m so cute!” See the two chimneys? They go to the fireplaces in each of the bedrooms. And there is another chimney at the back of the house for the fireplace in the living room. One can never have too many fireplaces. Am I right?

And there is original shiplap that they have restored. Sigh. In the entrance way, it’s painted a darker green. I need lighter shades for small spaces so I’d want to paint it a white/cream color to fit my style.

Out back, there is a river rock cellar. Perfect for garden produce.

So overall, I’d definitely consider this for our next home if the time was right. So what do you think? Is it a farmhouse you’d consider?

Bless your heart and home,

  1. It’s adorable Cindy! But yes, I don’t care for the dark shiplap either. Also, the people that bought my childhood home reroofed it with red metal. It looked awesome at first, but it sun faded quickly.

  2. As an owner of a tiny vintage farmhouse cottage with a covered porch and metal roof and original ship lap / plank walls, – I would scream YES.. It’s adorable. I could live there. And, ah… did I mention the river rock root cellar is amazing.
