TN Colors

We went on a road trip to TN (and VA) over the weekend.

I was so looking forward to seeing all the beautiful fall colors on the mountains.

Unfortunately, it was raining and dreary the whole trip there.

No problem, I thought. We have the whole weekend.

Then the next morning…

…black and white, no color. It snowed.
And it was beautiful, just a different kind.
As we drove the back roads, some of the scenery just took my breath away.
(Sorry, these photos are with my cell phone.)
Once we entered VA there was not as much snow, but a mix of color with some white.
The above photo is my daughter’s back yard, her barn and mountain.
She loves having her own mountain. LOL! The high point is out of view to the right.
This photo is on our way home right before we entered KY.
I love this little stretch as it is so lovely. And so peaceful with snow on the mountain tops.
It makes me want to get out of the car, take a walk, and experience the beauty .

  1. Such beautiful photos Cindy. Makes one want to walk out into the snow and take it all in right there in person.
We don't see this here in Texas but I grew up with it and even though I don't want to shovel snow any more, I do miss the beauty of a fresh fallen snow.,
Lovely color in the countryside too.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful views on your trip.
    Hugs and Blessings

  2. Beautiful photos!! It snowed here in Ohio too. We didn't get any here at my house, but my in-laws live an hour north of us and they got a fair amount of snow. It was very pretty…but I'm just not ready for snow just yet.
